The type of personal information we collect 

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers, contacts details, organisation details (for example, name, contact details, organisation details)
  • Information you provide about the organisation you belong to.
  • Correspondence and enquiries with our organisation.

How we get the personal information and why we have it

Most of the personal information we process is provided to us directly by you as you have signed up as a member of the Bromley Environment Network or have opted into a mailing list. We use the information that you have given us in order to:

  • Keep you informed of Bromley Environment Network news and relevant information of interest to the network.
  • Maintain a directory of Bromley Environment Network with main contact details on our website and membership database.

We may share this information with other Bromley Environment Network Members.

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the lawful bases we rely on for processing this information are:

(a) Your consent. You are able to remove your consent and terminate your membership of the Bromley Environment Network at any time.  You can do this by contacting bromleyenvironmentnetwork@gmail.com

We will not pass on your details to any third party, unless required to do so by law. 

We may share your contact details with other Bromley Environment Network members or stakeholders as part of facilitating the network.

How we store your personal information 

Your information is securely stored in an online membership database called Membermojo.  You can read the Privacy Policy for Membermojo here: https://membermojo.co.uk/ben/help/privacy

Access to the member database is provided to Bromley Environment Network Committee Members if their role requires it. Access rights are checked regularly. 

We keep the information you provide on your membership form while you are a member. If you cease to be a member your information will be archived in the membership database and our membership directories will be updated to remove your entry.  After 2 years information archived in the membership database is permanently deleted.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

  • Your right of access – You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.  Membership information is kept in our membership database whilst you are a member and for up to 2 years after you cease to be a member. Any direct email correspondence will be kept on the email server, the length of time it is stored will vary.
  • Your right to rectification – You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete. 
  • Your right to erasure – You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances. 
  • Your right to restriction of processing – You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances. 
  • Your right to object to processing – You have the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.
  • Your right to data portability – You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
